How we define “sex”
When you verify, our regulated ID partner reads the sex marker printed on your government ID (the M/F field on your passport or driver's licence) and tells Chattie only that result. That's what we mean by verified sex: the sex your government records on your official ID.
We don't ask you to self-declare it, and we can't change it. We don't claim to verify biology, chromosomes, or sex assigned at birth — only what your ID says today.
Chattie's rooms are organized around that marker. Separately, you can list your pronouns and describe your identity however you like on your profile — that part is yours to define.
